I won’t lie to you, it’s been a rough couple of days. Nothing to be surprised by in a house full of middle school girls. Moods can change on a dime, and cause the release of the Kraken of emotional turmoil.
Going through it, Mandi and I pray and do our best to keep the ship afloat. It is draining, straining, and tests your mettle. Sometimes we wonder if we will get through the day. Have you ever had days like that? Don’t lie–I know you do! =p
But inevitably, we do. And when we look back, we can see that when one of us had had enough the other was strengthened enough to take over. You realize that when you were too tired to think, the right words came to your lips. You realize that grace from the Spirit kept flowing to keep you going. And in the aftermath, grace was evidently at work healing hearts, bringing conviction, repentance, and forgiveness.
Someday you’ll only have good memories. God is blessing you right now and the frustration keeps you from recognizing it. I really miss those days. Blessings!
