But, even though what Eliphaz said here was true, it was not the truth that Job needed to hear. And in the end, God called him and his friends to account for not speaking truthfully about Him to Job (42:7). There is a difference between knowing a truth and telling the truth. The first is knowledge, the second is wisdom.
