God is ready to save because He is uniquely in the position to save. God is ready to save because He has the power and authority to save. God is ready to save because He has the desire to save. There can be only one, and He is the One.
God is not only ready to save, He wants you to believe He can save you. God gives two reasons to trust that He will save those who look to Him in Isaiah 46:1-13.
His proof of this is the past. Isaiah 46:9 (NLTSE) Remember the things I have done in the past. God does not expect you blindly believe Him. He has a track record. It goes back thousands of years.
This is the God who saved Noah and his family from the flood in the ark,
this is the God who gave a son to Abraham,
protected Isaac,
provided for Jacob,
saved His people from famine through Joseph,
redeemed them from slavery through Moses,
and conquered nations for them through Joshua.
This is the God who saved David from lions and bears and Goliath.
This is the God who called birds to feed His prophet Elijah in the wilderness, and the God who answered his prayers by bringing down fire from heaven upon the altar.
This is the God who kept Shadrak, Meeshack and Abednego from being burned alive in the fiery furnace,
and protected Daniel from the lions.
This is the God who provided all that was needed for Ezra and Nehimiah to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple.
This is the God who made Mary pregnant even though she had not been with a man,
who protected her and the baby when Herod went out to kill him.
This is the God who sent His Son into the world so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Do I need to go on? I could! I have only scratched the surface! You can trust God to save because He has done it again, and again, and again.
His guarantee is His promise. Isaiah 46:11 (NLTSE) I have said what I would do, and I will do it. When God promises something, He makes good on it. When God says, “I am going to save you” He does. No exceptions. No loop-holes. No take-backs. No second thoughts. You can believe that God will save His people because He has promised He would.
God is ready to save because He is uniquely in the position to save.
God is ready to save because He has the power and authority to save.
God is ready to save because He has the desire to save.
His actions in the past give us confidence that He can save us.
His promise to save us is as good as gold. There can be only one, and He is the One.
God is saying to you right now, I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now! I am ready to save and show you my glory. God is ready to save. Not sometime in the future. Now! Right now!
What is keeping you from going to Him? What idols are you holding on to that keep you from giving yourself completely to Him? What are you holding on to that is keeping you from holding only to Christ? Is it an extra-marital relationship? Is it pornography? Is it addiction? Is it resentment or unforgiveness? Is it anger? Is it video games? Is it a need for more things for the sake of having the next latest thing? Is it fear? Is it your past?
The way back to God has been plowed and paved, and that road is Christ. Let go of your idols. Reach out for the God of grace and you will discover that despite all your unfaithfulness, He is reaching down to you.

Great message, have a blessed Thanksgiving.
