Amen! That’s the difference between solitude and being lonely. Being lonely is when we withdraw from people, but solitude is when we seek the company of God.

  Right. On! The one is when we are focused inward on ourselves, the other is focused outward on God. Charlie Jones used to tell me there is a bug difference between loneliness and aloneness. Speaks to the same thing.

Dan Ledwith

After thirteen years as a pastor in New England, I am currently working as a retail tobacconist, manage the pipe and pipe tobacco section at New England's premiere cigar bar, Twins Smoke Shop, and host the "Not Just Blowing Smoke" podcast. In addition to that, I am working on a PhD in systematic and spiritual theology. I speak at local churches on a regular basis and have authored three books, all available on Amazon. Personally, I am learning to live for God through Christ in such a way that I am full of grace and truth (John 1:14). I am an easy going and fun loving guy who is totally in love with my wife Mandi and the proud father to my three girls.
