My friend and co-author of Forgiveness Is Tremendous, Charlie Jones, used to say, “The first sign of greatness is thankfulness. The first sign of smallness is thanklessness.” He also said that we need to be learning to be thankful just for the opportunity to be thankful. If we are not thankful for the small things, we will not be thankful for big things.
One of the little things I am thankful for is…
…being able to blow smoke rings in the hot tub.
Yeah, I know. It’s silly. It is certainly not a very important thing. But God has put me in a place where such silliness can happen. And that is a gift I am thankful for.

Hahaha isn’t even just the thought of it amazing?? There’s a big Marvel Comics logo in the center with retro comic book figures of Iron Man, Venom, Spidey, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, and Loki surrounding it! I might just have to write a post with pictures… 🙂

The small things are what gets me through the hard days. I am thankful for WordPress today because it gave me something better to do other than wallowing in my circumstances. Blessings!
