Confession Reveals Conviction

The confession of the mouth reveals the conviction of the heart. We cannot help praising what we love. It is the most natural thing to tell other people about what we think is good, right and helpful. We do it with restaurants, movies, books, friends, everything. You cannot long keep quiet about the things you love the most. Especially when you know that what someone really needs what you love.

  1. Such a good point. I think (and my thinking can get me in trouble! LOL!) that because Jesus is a ‘feeling’ in our hearts and not a Physical person that we can actually wrap our physical arms around, folks get lost on what it ‘looks like’ to love Jesus. I mean, how do you fall in love with someone you can’t see or hear right? Well, that’s where maturity comes in because the more you read of His life and Gods word, you can’t help to first admire and then gradually truly come to love not only what He stood for in biblical times but what He stands for in our time and lives. To crudely compare it to a great romance novel, it’s like falling in love with the Hero, only this is real! Then, you learn to show Him how much you love Him by loving others as He did. By loving them, you are surly loving Him. Now, ya just gotta love that! 😁😁

    1. Yup. As John says, “20Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister* is a liar.* For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen,* cannot love God, whom they have not seen.*” 1 John 4:20.
