Dan~ I’m not sure what you mean by “the apprehension of our own need for it”? Could you elaborate? Appreciation I would understand, but not apprehension.

To apprehend is to understand, grasp, or realize. If we do not grasp how much we need grace, we are not going to be very good at giving it.
