I dare you not to say anything critical, negative, or judgmental about anyone or anything. That includes your spouse, your kids, the kids who won’t shut up in church, the pastor, your mother-in-law, anyone and anything…even the candidates for president. NOt just during church, the whole day. Take a Sabbath rest from all that. I double dog dare you! Watch what happens. =)
The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit (Proverbs 15:4, NIV)
I can’t recall the retort to a double dog dare (age is dulling the memory), but whatever it was, that’s my response. You got me at the candidates for Commander-in-Chief. 🙂

I’m pretty sure that wasn’t it. Not back then anyway.

Ha! What is this, a vow of silence? I’d never be able to speak 🙂
It’s a great exercise, our words have real power and when we can change our words we can change everything.

Awwww you underestimate yourself my friend… I’m sure you would be anything but silent. And think of the post you could write about it! Seriously, I like trying things like this every once in a while. And I figured, why should I be the only one miserable? Mandi (my wife) just scoffed at the idea… Lol!
