Your identity, self-worth, and significance are not based on your performance and the opinion of others. That is what the Enemy wants you to think. As a Christian your identity is that you are a son or a daughter of God the Father. Your self-worth comes from the Father’s love and acceptance of you. Jesus gave you everything you need and settled all your debts-past, present, and future-so the Father’s love for you is total, complete, and will never change (John 17:23). Your significance comes from the fact that as His child, you are uniquely gifted and placed to do good works that God planned for you to do. There are things both great and small, seen and unseen, that only You have been put in place to expand, enrich, and encourage the kingdom of God (Ephesians 2:9-10). So, be strong and courageous my friend (Joshua 1:9), do not give up, give in, or give out. If there is anything that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection proved, it is that you-though your faith be small and your struggles great-Your heavenly Father values you more than all the diamonds, gold, and gems of this world combined.
