We need to realize that there is an organic, essential relationship between the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Jesus says in John 14:21 (NIV), Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. His commands are summed up in loving God, loving others, and making disciples. If we don’t love others, it means we can’t love God or make disciples. If we don’t make disciples, it shows that we are not loving God or loving others.
