A university student was debating with a friend of mine. At one point in the conversation this student said, “There is no such thing as universal truth.” To which I pointed out, “You can’t possibly believe that, because in saying there is no such thing as universal or absolute truth, you are saying that there is at least one absolute truth…. the truth that there is no absolute truth.” He thought about that for a minute and then said, “Yeah that makes sense I guess.”
Yup.

The fact is, every time you argue, debate, disagree, or criticize someone’s thinking or behavior, you are in effect appealing to an objective truth that you believe all people need to accept and live by.
