Humility and Thankfulness

Praise the LORD.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever (Psalms 106:1, NIV).

I have been learning that there is a strong relationship between thankfulness and humility. It is difficult if not impossible to be thankful and prideful at the same time. In this psalm, the author recounts the exodus from Egypt, the 40 years in the wilderness, and the time of judges. While God continued to show grace to Israel again and again, the gratitude for God’s grace and mercy in His deliverance and provision again and again dried up whenever their humility gave way to pride and idol worship. If you lack humility, you will never be very thankful. If you are humble and meek, showing awareness, lament, and contrition for sin, you will find thankfulness blooming; for that is the soil that gratitude thrives in.

  1. I am amazed at how many out there are so interested in criticising someone based on a letter. I feel Jacob has been dragged into this whole incident to such a great proportion that he would also not have imagined. This site has spoiled his life and caused irreparable damage. Hope God forgives you for that. Coming to the video, in today’s world, how can you be so sure it is not a doctored video? We have seen image of famous personalities being tarnished because of doctored videos. The latest we heard from Thrissur is that he is doing a great ministry there. If he has done something wrong, he might have asked forgiveness from God. This site should not be a place for character assassination if you are indeed here to save people from wrong doctrines. If you want him to be tried by law, please file a case. 0
