My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27, NIV).
Have you ever gotten the urge to call or visit someone and find out that they were just thinking about reaching out to you? Or have you ever felt the need to call someone and see how they are doing and discover that they really needed someone to talk to at that time? Or have you ever shared something that you have been learning with a person and their eyes light up and they respond, “Boy did I need to hear that today!” Those are times the Spirit is talking to us. Jesus says that His people know His voice, the recognize it, and follow it. God loves to bring comfort, love, encouragement, and direction to His people. Sometimes He does that Himself, other times—more often than we might like to admit—He wants to use us to bring His blessings to those who need it and are praying for it. When you experience those Spirit led nudges, don’t pass them by. Take the time to follow Jesus where He is calling you to go. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
