People thrive under praise and deteriorate under criticism. That’s not a trite positive thinking proverb. That’s a divine Proverb. “The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit” (Proverbs 15:4).

This should be on the first page of the marriage handbook! LOLOL! Of course, the Bible is the marriage handbook and does spell this all out quite nicely but sometimes a condensed version such as this is needed for a quick fix! 😉

After thirteen years as a fulltime pastor in New England, I am the manager at the Londonderry location of New England's premiere cigar bar, Twins Smoke Shop, and host the "Not Just Blowing Smoke" podcast.
