I fear that the church has been growing fans of Jesus instead of disciples of Jesus. We shouldn’t confuse one for the other.

  2. As Matt Batterson says in All In are we following Jesus or are we asking Him to follow us?
    We have a wrong understanding of who God is and His Character which then trickles down to an Americanized version of who Jesus is.
    Years of here say this simple prayer and you are going to Heaven. No repentance no renouncing of sin. Still live like a demon but praise god small g your saved.

    1. Christianity is more than just a get out of jail free card… that is right. That love for Jesus should lead to incarnating His love for us in love for others and in helping others to live for God through Christ too. Illumination (love for God) leads to incarnation (love for others) which leads to impartation (making disciples).
