What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one (Romans 8:31-34a).
Because we have been saved from God’s wrath (Romans 5:9) and are no longer God’s enemies but God’s sons and daughters, there is no other person, no other authority, no other power in the universe that we need to fear.
God is greater than all, and He has given us all in giving us His Son. If God has forgiven, there is no power that can revoke it. If God has saved, there is no power that can endanger that salvation. Once a person comes to the Father through Christ, there is no one in the universe who has the authority to lay charges against him or her.
Whom God has blessed no man can curse. A great example of this is when Balak the king of Moab hired Balaam to curse the Israelites. But as much as Balaam wanted to, he could not. All that he could say was “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it” (Numbers 23:19-20).
Because we no longer need to fear God’s wrath for our sins, and because we have no need to fear that our position in Christ can be endangered by any other power, we are free to love God and live a life of love for Him.
He loves us because of who we are in Christ, not because of what we do. We do not need to fear losing God’s love because of our failures, and we do not need to think we can deepen His love through our successes. He loves us because we are His, and that means that nothing can separate us from His love; for we are loved in Christ, and the Father’s love for Him will never waver one bit.
Phil Hodges has said that if Satan had a formula for self-esteem it would be your performance plus the opinion of others. Are your decisions motivated by what others might think? Are your decisions motivated by a need to protect yourself from others? Who is your audience? Who are you living for? In Christ we have an audience of One. We don’t need to be worried about pleasing anyone else.

Well said this is the best way to over come fear. Humans fear only one thing and that is death, we fear noises because the might mean death, falls same. When you fully accept there is life after this one and you accept you will be invited to partake then what is there to fear.
I conquered fear a different Way in that I prayed for death and welcomed it to end this. I have since accepted both as my lack of fear. I do not fear death for I am saved and will live again and in the next life there is no rape, no pain. I welcome this when it comes though I find myself not praying for its arrival so much lately.
Death is not an end but a new beginning. 🙂 beautifully written as usual.
