A good reminder…

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures (James 4:3, NIV).

Ah, right between the eyes!! How true that we don’t stop to think if what we are asking is for selfish reasons or for reasons that would bring God glory. Yup, there it is….

Dan Ledwith

After thirteen years as a pastor in New England, I am currently working as a retail tobacconist, manage the pipe and pipe tobacco section at New England's premiere cigar bar, Twins Smoke Shop, and host the "Not Just Blowing Smoke" podcast. In addition to that, I am working on a PhD in systematic and spiritual theology. I speak at local churches on a regular basis and have authored three books, all available on Amazon. Personally, I am learning to live for God through Christ in such a way that I am full of grace and truth (John 1:14). I am an easy going and fun loving guy who is totally in love with my wife Mandi and the proud father to my three girls.
