I have been told that the seed for a Chinese Bamboo tree spends five years in the ground before it sprouts, but once it does in the next three weeks it can grow ninety feet tall. I have been learning that often the same is true in our life with God. Things we do and work at may not bear fruit how or when we think. We may wonder why God led us to spend so much time or energy on things we know in our hearts He gave us to do when nothing seems to come of it. But then, quite out of the blue, when we have all but forgotten it or moved on from it, the fruit slings up–and that not a little.
I think we needed to hear this today. Thank you.
